The mission of FCCF is to build thriving communities. Our focus areas are education, health & well-being, entrepreneurship, and cultural arts. FCCF serves Abbeville County, McCormick County, and the Starr-Iva communities of Anderson County.
Freshwater Coast Community Foundation (FCCF) began with a simple belief: our community already has the vision, talent, and determination to make life better right here at home. From the start, FCCF was built to collaborate with local and regional partners to strengthen education, entrepreneurship, health and wellbeing, and the arts. Over time, the Foundation expanded its impact by providing entrepreneurial training and workshops and by helping launch local farmers’ markets. FCCF helped open doors to higher education through the Abbeville Promise -- a scholarship program that enables every eligible Abbeville County graduate to attend Piedmont Technical College with no tuition and fees. FCCF is supporting literacy through its Drop Everything and Read (DEAR) Month. Today, FCCF serves as a trusted partner for charitable giving, managing donor-advised and scholarship funds, and awarding grants to enhance our communities.
